LifeHouse Kids Ministry is intentional, dynamic and engaging. Our goal is to equip and nurture every child and enable them to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to be empowered for Kingdom living. Children learn about God and His Word and experience hearing and encountering the Holy Spirit with age-appropriate lessons, activities and crafts.
Worship & Teaching Experience
Our Nursery environment for 0-3 year olds. It is our goal to make the children feel safe, loved and excited about Jesus through songs, stories and fun play centres. This is a powerful stage in their young lives for building a connection to the love of God. 2 Timothy 3:15 says, “How from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
Our fun environment for children who are JK-SK and capable of being independent and interacting in a group setting. It is our heart to share the gospel of the Kingdom with big stories of God and of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. It is a lively and exciting time filled with stories, songs, scripture memory activities, games and crafts. We want to help the children to connect with God and understand that Jesus created them, loves them, knows them and is their best friend.
Our loving environment for Grade 1-3 children. It is our goal for the kids to experience and connect with Jesus in a real, deep and personal relationship. We then equip them to use the gifts the Holy Spirit has given them and to share the love of God that they have experienced with others. A lot of energy and interaction takes place in this group where the lessons are reinforced through fun activities, crafts, and discussions. We use stories, videos, activities, games, crafts, scripture memorization and drama to communicate the various lessons.
Our dynamic environment for Grade 4-5 children. It is our goal for the kids to experience and connect with Jesus in a real, deep and personal relationship. We then equip them to use the gifts the Holy Spirit has given them and to share the love of God with others. A lot of energy and interaction takes place in this group where the big lessons are reinforced through fun activities, crafts, and discussions.
Our Grade 6-8 children. Our heart is to empower these children through the Word of God and the guidance and power and fellowship of the Holy Spirit, getting them to apply their faith to real life circumstances and issues they are facing. We aim to reinforce their identity in Christ and help them understand their destiny and begin to regularly operate in their spiritual gifting from God. This is done with fun interactive icebreakers, lots of relevant and out-of-box questions prayer and fun activities that reinforce the lesson of the day.
Common Questions
When I arrive, where do I go?
When you arrive, you will be met by a greeter at the door, who will happily direct you to the Kid’s sign-in area. Our trained Kid’s Ministry Team will be delighted to help you quickly register your child, answer questions, and help your child to feel welcome and at ease. Should your child need assistance during the service our teachers will send you a text message notifying you.
Will my child be safe?
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our Kid’s Ministry Team is trained and have undergone police checks. Parents check their children in before the service starts, and children remain with their parents until worship has ended. Children are then released to their teachers who are waiting in the lobby to escort them to their classes. Parents will go to the Kid’s Ministry Hallway to pick up their children after the service. All of our teachers have access to directly text parents if needed.
Will someone assist my child?
We understand it can be overwhelming for children to be in new surroundings, so our team makes it a priority to help your child meet other children and integrate easily into the group.
Who’s in charge?
Our Kid’s Ministry Director and a team of trained teachers are available on Sundays to oversee the Kid’s program, answer any questions, and give you any additional information you would like.
Kids Ministry Online
We prioritize your child’s safety which is why we are currently meeting online, due to the current restrictions. We hold weekly online Kids Ministry Connect times to help our precious world changers continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus and one another.
